Geostrategists was founded in 2024 by Christoph Czakalla, a strategy consultant and political expert with diverse international experience. Christoph lived in various countries including Germany, France, Spain, Russia, Ukraine, the USA, and most recently Malaysia. Throughout his professional career, he operated at the intersection of business and politics, serving as personal advisor to the Bavarian Finance Minister and as project manager in an international management consultancy.
During his career in consulting, Christoph identified the rapidly growing demand for (geo)political expertise across both large corporations and medium-sized enterprises – even before the war in Ukraine and the growing likelihood of Donald Trump's second term as US President. He was increasingly called upon for projects requiring the assessment of geopolitical risks or the impact of political decisions on business strategies and M&A deals.
He realised that these competencies are inadequately covered in management consulting – neither by traditional consulting firms nor by new platforms for freelance consultants. Closing this gap and providing companies with easier, more flexible, and cost-efficient access to highly qualified geopolitical and regional experts became the driving force behind Geostrategists.
To implement the technical side of the platform, Christoph brought experienced software developers Bernhard Frauendienst and Simon Siegert into the team. Both shared his enthusiasm for geopolitics and the values behind Geostrategists, immediately recognising the potential of the idea. Together, they developed the technological foundation for Geostrategists.
Today, the expert network continues to grow. Our goal is to establish Geostrategists as Europe's leading platform for geopolitical and country-specific consulting.
